In 2008 BMI Group celebrates 10 years of successful trading in a variety of property markets in Gibraltar. The Group has however been trading under other names for over 25 years so has built up a huge wealth of knowledge and experience. This sets us out as a leading player, recognised as such within the community, by both our partners and competitor firms. BMI has predominantly operated in the Gibraltar market working with our local and international clients. Over the years the international scene has grown tremendously due to the growth of the finance centre. We were involved in Gibraltar’s largest private Real Estate sale in 2000.
We have recently set up Real Estate Spain which focus’ primarily in Sotogrande, an established residential private complex located 20 minutes drive from Gibraltar. We believe that Sotogrande offers our clients (whom are primarily based in Gibraltar), a unique quality of life with a track record of holding property values, even during distressed periods.
Our Development Consultancy has grown substantially over the years; in 2005 our sales exceed £40,000,000 and in 2006 our estimated sales on developments that we consult for were in excess of £65,000,000. During 2007 we have been involved with various commercial projects which are at present in planning stages and which are geared to meet the growing demand for commercial space on the Rock.
As part of our drive to continually evolve our proposition we are able to offer our clients a wide range of advice to help them with their financial needs. We have established partnerships with local and international providers of mortgage finance and are pleased to work with our clients and partners to achieve a professional result. Our arrangements can range from pre determined products available through high street lenders to specifically tailored packages available from Private Banks. We have exciting plans that will grow this area of how individuals manage their wealth to further enhance our service to clients.
Our target market is in the main based locally and includes local buyers and international clientele based in Gibraltar. As a thriving finance centre Gibraltar attracts a substantial high net worth market looking to base there personal wealth from here; in addition we also attract a large number of business and institutions for the same reason. Gibraltar’s average price per sqm is currently GBP £3,500 (top end GBP £5,500).
N.B. Other financial centre’s and jurisdictions with similar structures to that of Gibraltar’s have reached up to GBP £12,000 / sqm.
